Gerrit Claesz. Bleker was a Dutch painter and etcher. He lived and worked in Haarlem and was active around 1625. He mainly painted landscapes, but also made portraits. He has been influenced by Pieter Lastman, Claes Cornelisz. Moeyaert and Rembrandt van Rijn. He is best known for his etchings. Bleker’s work can be found in the Frans Hals Museum and Szépművészeti Múzeum in Budapest, among with other artists. He may have been the father of Dirck Gerritsz Bleacher. He was a student of Pieter Adelaer, David Decker, Paulus van der Goes and his son Dirck Gerritsz Bleacher.
