Freek van den Berg (Amsterdam 1918 - Veessen 2000) belongs to the group of Fauvists and was one of the last Dutch painters to work in this expressive and colourful manner. His oeuvre comprises a variety of subjects, from cityscapes and landscapes to the recurring theme of women. He was a member of the "independents" and an art critic. Several books about his work have been published.
The work comes directly from the heirs of Freek van den Berg and its authenticity is therefore guaranteed.
